SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA , - December 20, 2006 -
Power Analog Microelectronics (PAM), a developer of innovative Class-D digital
audio amplifiers and high-power LED display drivers semiconductors, has
appointed Vincent Fong, as its Vice President of Design Engineering, and
promotes Hideto Takagishi to Vice President of Application Engineering and
System Architect.
A 25 year veteran of the semiconductor industry, Mr. Fong worked in the high
voltage design area utililizing BCD, BiCMOS, CMOS, and DMOS technologies, where
he developed commercially successful EL drivers, LED drivers, and power
management ICs at several leading Silicon Valley companies. Mr. Fong had
previously served as Design Director at Supertex Silicon Valley headquarters
and as the General Manager of its Hong Kong Design Center for nine years. He
also served in design management roles at various companies, including Micrel,
Excel, National Semiconductor, Hyundai, Samsung, and Texas Instruments. Mr. Fong
has authored 10 U.S. patents with 3 additional patents pending. He holds a
M.S.E.E. degree from University of Missouri and a B.S. degree in Physics from
Southwest Missouri State University.

In addition, the company announces the promotion of Hideto Takagishi to the
position of Vice President of Application Engineering and System Architect. Mr.
Takagishi, with over 25 years of analog and power IC experience working in both
Japan and Silicon Valley, was most recently the Director of Application
Engineering at PAM, where he was responsible for the company’s new product
definition and system application support. Prior to joining PAM, Mr. Takagishi
was the Engineering Manager at Pacific Technology Co., Ltd., a Hong Kong based
system design company. He has also held various other engineering positions,
such as IC design, application, and marketing at several companies, including
MPS and National Semiconductor. His design and invention include the first
Simple Switcher and various types of Class-D amplifiers. Mr. Takagishi has
authored 9 U.S. patents with 3 additional patents pending and holds a B.S.E.E.
degree from Osaka Electronics Communications University.
Commenting on the promotion, Chen said, “Hideto has been instrumental in
