Johnston C. Chen / President and CEO
A seasoned executive with over 25 years experience in semiconductor and consumer electronics industry, Johnston has held management positions in engineering, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and corporate management with P&L responsibility. Johnston has previously served as VP of Consumer Electronics Division as well as VP of Asia-Pacific Sales at ESS Technology. He was instrumental in ESS' transformation from pre-IPO into a NASDAQ listed company and became the world's largest supplier of PC Audio chips, and MPEG chips for VCD/DVD. After leaving ESS, Johnston became a senior advisor and consultant for CCID, a subsidiary of China's Ministry of Information Industry. Prior to founding PAM, Johnston was an Executive Partner at Crimson Venture, a Silicon Valley-based venture capital management company, focusing on the investment of semiconductor and electronics companies. He has also held various positions in Power IC design, product engineering, sales & marketing at several Silicon Valley companies, including IDT, PMI/ADI, and Siliconix/Vishay. Johnston holds a BSEE from San Jose State University and an MBA from Santa Clara University. |
Hideto Takagishi / Vice President of System Architect
Mr. Takagishi has over 25 year of system level architecture and design experience in complex mixed-signal analog/digital and power management ICs. His design and invention include the first Simple Switcher and various types of Class-D amplifiers. With nearly 20 years at National Semiconductor, Mr. Takagishi first worked as an FAE, then as a designer at its Japan Linear Design Center. He was later appointed as the Section Head of National Semiconductor's CLASIC Design team in Japan, and eventually moved to its Santa Clara headquarters to serve as Application Engineer for its Audio Division. After National Semiconductor, Mr. Takagishi joined Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) as a key member of the start-up team and was instrumental in its successful product roll-outs of Class-D audio amplifiers and PMIC. In his capacity as both the senior designer and application engineer, he helped secured major design wins in Japan and Korea, which was critical for MPS' IPO in 2005. Prior to joining PAM, Mr. Takagishi was the Engineering Manager at Pacific Technology Co. Ltd., a Hong-Kong based system design company. Mr. Takagishi has authored 9 U.S. patents with 3 additional patents pending and holds a Bachelor of Electronics Communication degree from Osaka Electronic Communications University. |
Mike Hsinyih Chen, Ph.D. / Vice President of Manufacturing and Operation
Dr. Chen has over 25 years experience in semiconductor manufacturing, packaging, and reliability with extensive foundry and assembly relationships with vendors in the United States, Taiwan and China. He was most recently an Executive Vice President of Technology at Shanghai SIM-BCD, a China-based foundry, where he was responsible for the development of DMOS, BiCMOS, Bipolar, HV and BCD technology. Prior to SIM-BCD, he was Senior Director of Manufacturing and Operation at AplusFlash Technology, based in San Jose, responsible for its operation. Dr. Chen also worked at PMC, Winbond, ISSI, Fairchild, and National Semiconductor, in various engineering and management roles. Dr. Chen is considered an expert in the China foundry industry with his extensive involvement and working relationships with many of the foundries in China. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of New Mexico, and BS in Physics and EE from University of Chinese Culture in Taiwan. |
Adrian Y. Wang / Vice President of Engineering
With over 20 years of analog and mixed-signal IC design experience, Mr. Wang heads up the company's R&D teams in Shanghai and Taipei. He was most recently the Chief Technology Officer of ACARD Technology, a publicly listed company in Taiwan Stock Exchange, involved in designing projects for SATA, SAS, and PCI Express PHYs. Prior to that, Mr. Wang was the Vice President of Engineering for NeoAxiom Corporation, where he managed a team of design engineers, layout engineers, and application engineers to deliver 10 Gigabit Ethernet/XAUI ICs and Systems. His successful delivery of these products resulted in acquisition of NeoAxiom by ACARD Technology and continuous revenue growth to tens of million dollars for ACARD. Mr. Wang also held other technical design lead positions at Lucent Technologies, Enable Semiconductor, and Sierra Semiconductor. He is the inventor of six U.S. patents and three Taiwan patents. Mr. Wang holds a B.S.E.E. degree from National Taiwan University and M.S.E.E. from University of California, Los Angeles. |
Don Cason/ Vice President of Sales
Don has over 20 years managing domestic and international sales teams.
Most recently he built a system of reps and distributors in both North
America and South America for Micronas from scratch that grew the business
from less than $2M to over $30M in 5 years. After building the sales engine
Don had P&L responsibility for the Micronas organization in the Americas.
He also managed and built sales structures for consumer electronics at
Philips and Panasonic. He has a B.S. in marketing from San Diego State
University.
